WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Predictions

WWE Royal Rumble 2018 is scheduled to take place on January 28, 2018 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This event includes matches like AJ Styles vs KO & Sami Zayn, Men’s & The first ever women’s royal rumble match and more. This blog post is a prediction based on the events that will take place so read on as a dissect and analyse the following matches

WWE Universal Championship match: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Braun Strowman vs Kane

I find this match very interesting with the events that have gone on as of (RAW 15/01/18) Braun was fired and hired again which I don’t get but whatever, I think Kane getting one last run is good, I want a full time wrestler to hold the title but I get the feeling Brock Lesnar is gonna hold on to the title as Reigns and Lesnar is a scheduled match plan for the future

Prediction: Brock Lesnar

WWE RAW Tag Team Title Championship Match:  Jason Jordan & Seth Rollins (c) vs The Bar (Cesaro & Sheamus)

Since Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins won the tag team titles, some fans have been angry at the fact that Jordan is trying to replace Dean but it’s puzzling to me any who, I think  Jordan and Seth will retain as I’m really interested to see where storyline with Jordan pans out, As of watching RAW these past two weeks Titus Worldwiiiide (Titus O’neil and Apollo Crews) would be a great addition to add to the match as they have defeated the #1 contenders The Bar two weeks in a row.

Prediction: Jason Jordan & Seth Rollins

Crusierweight Championship

Update: Enzo Amore has been fired so I don’t know what situation is with Crusierweight championship, it’s gonna be vacated, so another match is scheduled to take place at the rumble and down the line they’ll probably do battle royal with all the crusierweight to contest a winner for the championship, if thats the case I still Cedric should win the title

Bobby Roode’s open challenge?

The United States Championship was vacated by Dolph Ziggler after winning the title from Baron Corbin at Clash of Champions, due to this there was a US Championship tournament that took place and the final two competitors being Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal, Roode ended up winning as of the SmackDown Live edition 16/01/18.  I would think Dolph Ziggler will return answering Bobby Roode’s open challenge, it could also end up being another superstar.

WWE SmackDownLive Tag Team Championship Match – The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) (c) vs Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin

A few weeks ago there was some controversy regarding the finish of the tag team title match between The Usos and Benjamin and Gable, Benjamin and Gable had thought to have won the title except that Chad Gable pinned Jimmy Usos, who wasn’t even legal so match restarted and The Usos went on to retain.

I think The Usos should retain their title, I would like for them to get to WrestleMania as the tag team champions although as of writing this, hearing about the circumstances involving Jey Uso, They may be stripped off the titles at the Royal Rumble even though I would like them to retain

Predictions: The Usos (hopefully)

WWE Championship Match – AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (2 on 1 Handicap Match)

Long story short Styles defends his WWE Championship in a 2 on 1 handicap match which was made SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan following a sarcastic comment which AJ Styles made stating he’ll face both superstars

I think AJ is going to end up retaining because KO and Sami Zayn haven’t been a team that long in my opinion and this is just going to split them up.

Prediction: AJ Styles

30 Man Royal Rumble

The 30 man over the top royal rumble is due to take place, entrants in the match include John Cena, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Titus O’Neil, Apollo Crews, Rusev and many more, the winner of this match decides to face the champion of their respective brand at WrestleMania

A top guy is going to win the mens royal rumble because that what usually happens so I would like to see Bray Wyatt win the rumble, he’s career was good in 2017 as he held the WWE Championship (when he was on SmackDown Live) and I think winning can help revive his career get it back to where it was but also another option would be Finn Balor, winning it will get another championship opportunity for the title he never lost

Prediction: Bray Wyatt or Finn Balor

30 Women’s Royal Rumble

This is year WWE is putting up two royal rumble matches by adding the first ever woman’s royal rumble, the history making match is going to see women compete in 30 women over the top rumble in order to determine a contender for the women’s championship at WrestleMania, entrants include Naomi, Becky Lynch, Tamina, Lana, Bayley, Sasha Banks, The Riott Squad (Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan), Nia Jax, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, Asuka and more

When this match was first announced there were some questions of how this will work but there probably be some NXT Superstars and Legends in order to feel the spaces as there isn’t more than 30 women on the roster, there has been some talk of UFC fighter Ronda Rousey making an appearance I would not be surprised if this happens as she has signed with the company but in terms of legends I would like to see Trish Stratus, Kharma, Lita, Beth Phoenix.

I would like to see either of these three women win the royal rumble: Naomi, Becky Lynch or Sasha Banks

8 WWE Superstars who need to make it in 2017

Happy New Year, everyone! as this is my first blog of 2017. In this blog post I am going to be highlighting the WWE superstars who I think need to make it/ be giving a chance this year.

  1. Apollo Crews

During his NXT days Apollo Crews was dubbed a star who could reach amazing heights and go far in his WWE career by being a contender for WWE Championship, when he got to the main roster for a few months he was somewhat giving the chance to prove himself as every newcomer to the main roster does but they seem to have gone sideways with that. I got excited because he was traded to SmackDownLive during the brand split and I imagined he will get his opportunity to shine as SmackDownLive is the land of opportunity according to SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan but thats not what happened. I feel like he is one of the superstars that can make the brand much more exciting as he is the power game + his athletic ability are factors to the reason why his character deserves to be used well, so I think 2017 should be his year to shine

2. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn wrestling ability is amazing enough not to add him to this list, I think he is a very talented wrestler and he needs he’s opportunity to show this as he has in both NXT and on the main roster, 2016 saw the rise of both him and his offscreen friend Kevin Owens highlighted in a feud and their matches were amazing to watch. I feel like both should have benefited from the feud but sadly it was only beneficial for Kevin Owens who has soared in his WWE career since then but can’t say the same for Zayn so I think 2017 can and should be his year.

3. Naomi

Naomi deserves to be giving a chance to shine as her lengthy career in WWE comes into play but also she’s the most athletic woman in the women’s division on SmackDownLive and whenever she is in the ring she proves exactly why she should hold the WWE Women’s Championship because she’s so good and although she’s not on WWE TV right now when she comes back she should be included in the title picture. Naomi has a had amazing matches with all in the women’s division, there were many occasion in past where I could see her winning the title but it has not just happened yet, well 2017 needs to be the year she finally wins the title

I think Lana should be inserted into the women’s division because it would be interesting to see what she can do in the ring and to watch as we have only seen her in action on one occasion which was in her debut at WrestleMania 32, she was in action but not to a full extent that she could showcase any in ring skills so I would like to see her wrestle again and maybe we might see it happen although there is a rumour that she might be taking over as GM from WWE Legend & RAW General Manager Mick Foley so perhaps we might still see her make an impact in year

5. JoJo

She is currently a ring announcer & backstage interviewer but Jojo joined the WWE with the intent to wrestle as WWE Superstar, she has been on RAW in a tag match which featured Natalya & Eva Marie as her partners, which she didn’t actually wrestle which I would say was due to little experience as a wrestler at that time but I would like to see her wrestle and I’m hoping this is the year she gets to.

6. Titus O’neil

The big deal Titus O’neil is a guy who needs to be giving that chance to shine, as he plays the heel persona very well, he is dominant in the ring. He needs to be giving more of a chance to showcase his skills as wrestler and prove himself as competitor in WWE, I understand he’s not the best right now but if giving the chance he is bound to improve in all aspects e.g. in ring ability and mic work. I would like to see him hold a singles title because I think he can be dominant champion and thats what he needs in order to move forward in his career

7. Tyler Breeze

I think Tyler Breeze is a wrestler that is overlooked by the WWE, he has potential, he proved just that when he was in NXT, he had a lot of amazing matches with the likes of Apollo Crews, Tyson Kidd, Sami Zayn and many more. His career needs a transformation in order for him to have a better impact to his career this year than he did in 2016 because when he debut he had his storyline with Dolph Ziggler which I thought was a very good feud but after that his character died down and now he teams with Fandango to form the team of “Breezango”, as a team I feel they need to be taken seriously in order to contend for the tag team titles.

8. Summer Rae

WWE & E! Entertainment's

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – AUGUST 15: WWE wrestler Danielle Moinet aka Summer Rae attends WWE & E! Entertainment’s “SuperStars For Hope” at the Beverly Hills Hotel on August 15, 2013 in Beverly Hills, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for WWE)

Summer Rae was a vital part of NXT and I think she can be an important part of the main roster, she is currently dealing with an injuries right now but when she comes back she could help the women’s division as they have not included all the women on RAW the roster also she has improved so you never know what can happen maybe she might hold the championship at one point.

Thank you for reading! anyone that you think I forgot to add comment their name down below in comment section

Thoughts on RAW & SmackDownLive

This week the first edition of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live took place since the Draft happened and throughout this post I am going to give my opinions on how I felt about both shows faired.

RAW & SmackDown Live new logos

Monday Night Raw:

First of all, I just want to point out that I missed Monday Night Raw this week but I am going to give my thoughts based on what I watched from the clips that were uploaded onto YouTube. RAW was a good show, I was really excited to see Sasha Banks win the women championship, Finn Balor got a huge victory and has a match at WWE SummerSlam against Seth Rollins. I think RAW did very well and set bar high for SmackDownLive. Also I really liked the new logo and the new design.

SmackDownLive broadcast it’s first show live since the WWE Draft and the show was impressive and I would say it gave Raw a run for it’s money. It might not have had the impact that Raw did but the show was great in its own way, the first match saw participants compete for the 6th spot to the determine a challenger for the six pack challenge later on in the night and it was won by Apollo Crews, he then went on to face John Cena, AJ Styles, Barron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler, The match was eventually won by Ziggler. I was surprised to see Dolph Ziggler, not because I don’t think he is capable but it was just a shock and really and truly I think Ziggler deserves the win.  The segment which included Randy Orton and The Miz was really good as those two are great on the mic. Eva Marie also got people talking and so called “haters” were out in full force and lastly I think commentary team on SmackDownLive were really good I didn’t watch Raw so I can compare but overall the first edition of SmackDownLive ended up being a good show. While watching SmackDown it was advertised that Shelton Benjamin is going to be coming back to the WWE which is huge.

Both shows were really impressive and I am looking forward to seeing what is to come next. Next week on SmackDownLive is the debut of American Alpha so I’m excited for that. Also I’m interested to see how this Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar match goes.

WWE Money in the Bank 2016 Review

This is my review of the Money in the Bank 2016 pay per view, which took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas

Money in the Bank kick off:

The Golden Truth vs Breezango

This match had a comedic feel to it as Goldust and R-Truth played a trick on Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) by tampering with their tanning beds thus leaving them no choice to come out to the ring with burns, It was an entertaining match for me to watch which included Goldust and R-Truth slapping the bodies of Tyler Breeze and Fandango multiple times and this eventually ended with a win for The Golden Truth.

The Lucha Dragons vs The Dudley Boyz

This match consisted of high flying action by The Lucha Dragons and Trash talking by The Dudley Boyz, Despite no implication to this match it was a good match and good win for The Lucha Dragons. Bubba Ray also made this match funnier by imitating Kalisto’s roll at the start of the match.

Money in the Bank pay per view:

The New Day (c) vs Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows vs Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy vs The VaudeVillians – WWE Tag Team Championship

First of all, I really liked the style of this match how any team can be tagged in even though they are not on the same team as you, they should do this match type more often. This was one of my favourite matches of the night, it was chaotic and bodies were everywhere as JBL would normally say. The New Day came out with win even though I didn’t predict them to win I still like that they won in order to become the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions with a reign of 352 days and counting.

Barron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler

This was Barron Corbin best match since debutting in my opinion, I feel like because of the many matches they have had since his debut he has improved as this was a fantastic match to watch and also high impact, It made sense to give Corbin the victory in this match as he moves on in his career. Even though Dolph Ziggler lost he put on a classic match and both these guys just put it all on the line.

Charlotte (c) & Dana Brooke vs Natalya & Becky Lynch

This was a good match to watch again despite not being for the WWE Women’s Champion it was ok, Finally got to watch a full match where Dana Brooke was in action and she did well. The match ended with Becky and Natalya colliding courtesy of Dana Brooke which angered Natalya and that resulted in her attacking Becky Lynch, on previous Raws and SmackDown I expected this to happen, I think it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Apollo Crews vs Sheamus

This match was alright, enjoyed the sequence between Apollo Crews and Sheamus. Apollo Crews belly to belly and moonsault were just amazing, he’s athletic ability is one of a kind however I think he shouldn’t have won via the roll up, he should have done his finisher and then pinned Sheamus nevertheless this was a good back and forth match to watch between two awesome WWE superstars.

John Cena vs AJ Styles

This match was just straight up awesome, the crowd roaring loudly AJ Styles and John Cena chants split between the WWE Universe. This match was awesome but Anderson and Gallows shouldn’t have interfered in such a big match like this and then people say John Cena buries people, he does what the WWE tell him to do.

Sami Zayn vs Cesaro vs Chris Jericho vs Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens vs Alberto Del Rio – (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)

You can say this match was brutal, chaotic whatever you wanna call it, it was all that and some more, bodies and ladders everywhere. A great sequence of moves by all competitors also courtesy of the ladders a range of moves that were brutal and left the competitors in a considerable amount of pain. Dean Ambrose got the win and that was a good, entertaining match to watch.

Rusev (c) (with Lana) vs Titus O’neil – WWE United States Championship

This was one of the matches I was looking forward to not only because I wanted Titus to win but because I wanted to see Titus showcase his strength and he did a good job that was an incredible effort by Titus O’neil. I knew Rusev was going to win but I predicted Titus because I would like to see Titus O’neil as a singles champion. Titus O’neil children were in the audience watching him fight which was awesome.

Roman Reigns (c) vs Seth Rollins – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

This match started with both competitors scouting each other to see who will make a mistake in order for the other to capitalise on it and it was back and forth with finishers and pinfalls by both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, this was a must watch match. Seth Rollins won the championship but Dean Ambrose cashed in his newly won Money in the Bank and became the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The match was so entertaining and awesome to watch as both Roman and Seth have had their chance to shine as WWE World Heavyweight Champion but now its Ambrose turn, this was without a doubt the best thing to happen on the show.

WWE Money in the Bank 2016 Predictions

I’m back with a brand new blog post! First of all, Happy Father’s Day to those reading this that are fathers.

WWE Money in the Bank takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 19th 2016 and it is set to be a big event as its not just the Money in the Bank event, but starting July 19th SmackDown is going live on Tuesday nights every week alike with RAW every week.

Money in the Bank Kickoff:

The Lucha Dragons vs The Dudley Boyz

In this match even though there are no implications it would be good to see a good classic match from these competitors. It would be good. It will be interesting what to see what they do with Kalisto after he lost the U.S title to Rusev. I feel this match was put together to fill the match card as there was no build up on Raw or SmackDown.

Prediction: The Lucha Dragons.

The Golden Truth (Goldust and R-Truth)  vs Breezango ( Tyler Breeze and Fandango)

The past few weeks I have been watching this feud develop it has excited me for this match  plus the backstage segments has been fantastic. The Golden Truth deserve a win to build them up as a formidable tag team for when they move on from this feud.

Prediction: The Golden Truth.

Money in the Bank Pay per view:

Barron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler

I think this feud will probably end at the Money in the bank event as it has been going on for sometime now with Barron Corbin getting the win due to being part of the “New Era Superstars”.

Prediction: Barron Corbin.

Apollo Crews vs Sheamus

This match excites me as WWE has finally given Apollo Crews a feud and as this is his pay per view debut I think his bound to win, I am interested to see how this feud goes as the weeks go on. I thought it would have been better to put Apollo Crews in the Money in the Bank Ladder match but something is better than nothing.

Prediction: Apollo Crews.

The New Day (c) vs Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows vs Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy vs The VaudeVillians – WWE Tag Team Championship

This match has the potential to be one of the stand out matches of the night with 4 outstanding teams competing against each other for the WWE Tag Team Championship. I am a fan of The New Day and I have really enjoyed their run as the tag team champions but I have a feeling that they going to drop the championship to a new team and I would like it be Enzo & Cass as their a fun and exciting team to watch and both have good mic skills which will be good for their run if they win.

Prediction: Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy.

Rusev (c) (with Lana) vs Titus O’neil – WWE United States Championship

In this match I like the thought of Titus O’neil getting a shot at the WWE United States Championship and I would like him to come away with the win because I think he would be a good singles champion but I have a feeling that Rusev will win because he won U.S Championship at the previous pay per view. This match includes two powerhouses who are gonna go at it with the power moves.

Prediction: Titus O’neil.

Charlotte (c) & Dana Brooke vs Natalya & Becky Lynch

For this match its a shame that the WWE Women’s Championship is not on the line but the women would be highlighted and I’m sure they will have a good match. I am excited to see how Dana Brooke fairs in this match despite wrestling on Raw and SmackDown and it is her first pay per view so this is her chance to shine.

Prediction: Charlotte & Dana Brooke.

Sami Zayn vs Cesaro vs Chris Jericho vs Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens vs Alberto Del Rio – (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)

This is the Money in the Bank ladder match in order to find out who will win a contract to cash in on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This match is going to be chaotic with ladders being used, I think Dean Ambrose is going to win as he would get the push that he deserves. What will this match mean for the brand split?

Prediction: Dean Ambrose.

John Cena vs AJ Styles

This will be exciting to watch as John Cena will battle AJ Styles, it is dubbed as a dream match by many as two of the biggest names collide at the seventh annual Money in the Bank pay per view event. This match can go either way as these two have a rich history in their wrestling careerwwe-money-in-the-banks so its hard to say who will win this match but I’m going with John Cena on this one.

Prediction: John Cena.

Roman Reigns (c) vs Seth Rollins – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

This is a big match that everyone is eyeing as they want Seth Rollins to “save us” from the supposedly boring Roman Reigns. I think Reigns should retain and then Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose will compete for a chance to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the next pay per view.

Prediction: Roman Reigns.

WWE Payback 2016 Review

WWE Payback Kickoff

Dolph Ziggler def Barron Corbin

This match was alright, I was shocked as Dolph Ziggler won because I would think Barron Corbin would have won at his first main roster pay per view event but that was not the case, I guess they might have made him lose so that he can be more vicious as he probably will attack Dolph Ziggler on future shows like RAW and SmackDown and as for him being on the pre-show, it seems his push on the main roster has not started off well but at least it was on the card so I can’t complain.

Kalisto (c) def  Ryback – WWE United States Championship match

This was a rematch from WrestleMania which was similar to their mania match with power moves from Ryback and Kalisto with his usual high flying moves and Kalisto got the win in the end, if he is champion I would really like to see him winning matches on RAW and SmackDown even if it is in a tag match this will help build him up and strengthen his tag partner Sin Cara in the process, I was amazed by Ryback’s offence as he went off the top rope and delivered a gorilla press to Kalisto. I feel Ryback needs some momentum, he is a talented guy he can’t just be losing to Kalisto on pay per view.

WWE Payback pay per view

The pay per view starts off with The New Day making an entrance to introduce the show, talk about the tag team tournament and cut a good promo as usual and ending with “Because New Day Rocks”.

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy vs The VaudeVillians – No contest

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy made their entrance which saw them do their usual shtick, shortly after The VaudeVillians made their entrance to boos not because of their ability of in ring wrestling but because of their entrance as it is not perceived well by the fans.

This match was going well with offence from all competitors in the respective teams until a toss from Simon Gotch resulted in Enzo sliding out of the ring but not before hitting the bottom rope which resulted in a concussion. He is ok, which seems to be the case as Kevin Owens tweeted a picture with himself, Enzo and Colin Cassidy showing Enzo in a hospital outfit and also that he is walking thankfully, didn’t really enjoy messages of people making fun of Enzo hitting the ropes.

Kevin Owens def Sami Zayn

This match was awesome, the video package was shown for this match which hyped the match up even more. I can actually see why this match was booked, it was so amazing. straight up action from both superstars one upping each other with various moves like Canon Ball from KO, Suicide dive tornado DDT from Zayn and at the end Kevin Owens secured the win, I think Sami Zayn deserved to win as KO has already had a good run on the main roster so Zayn should have got one up in this bout between the two.

The Miz/w Maryse def Cesaro

First of all, Kevin Owens sat at commentary which annoyed me, didn’t we see enough of him in his match. Why is are people always picking on Bryon Saxton? Owens on commentary was a distraction from this match, that was soon taking care off by Sami Zayn but later interrupted again as Cesaro took out both Owens and Zayn who were brawling on the ring apron later to be pushed off by Cesaro and then a roll up pin by Miz which was a bad way to end this match.

Dean Ambrose def Chris Jericho

This match was a war between this two superstars, both superstars are likeable. I was rooting for Ambrose to win this match in order to bounce back from his loss at WrestleMania, overall I thought the match was good. The announce table came into play as it did for Jericho for the build up for this match and then later back in the ring, a few knees from Ambrose that ended with Dirty Deeds and a win for Ambrose.

Charlotte/ w Rick Flair (c) def Natalya/ w Bret Hart

This match was alright, with the determination from Natalya to try and win the championship, a highlight of this match included Charlotte with a moonsault which I thought was good, the match ended in a contreversial way dubbing it as a “Chicago Screwjob” relating to the Montreal screwjob to which I thought was not necessary. This was a bad ending as Natalya didn’t tap but the referee known as Charles Robinson aka Little Niatch called for the match to end as he ran to give Charlotte the belt,He has a history with The Flairs.

Vince McMahon’s decision

I was really excited for this decision to see who gets chosen to run Monday Night Raw, Shane and Stephanie McMahon both had good reasons to why they should take charge of RAW but in the end Vince chose both Shane and Stephanie to run RAW together, in my opinion it was disappointing as I would have liked a one of them chosen not both, or even there are rumours of a brand split happening soon as they showed superstars Apollo Crews and Sasha Banks backstage having a conversation with Stephanie and Shane (individually)

Roman Reigns (c) def AJ Styles – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

This match was highly anticipated and I could see why because it was an awesome match, before viewing this match the possibilities of what could happen in this match were very exciting and it did not disappoint because it was an action packed match up. Shane and Stephanie came out separately to restart the match as there was a countout and low blow eventually the match became a No Disqualification match which saw Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson come to lay out Reigns not until The Usos came to the aid of their cousin and finally the match ended with Reigns hitting a brutal spear on AJ Styles to pick up the victory.

Final Thoughts:

  • I enjoyed the pay per view, it was good.
  • Favourite matches had to be Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles.
  • Because of Enzo’s incident, I would have liked to see the match between Becky Lynch and Emma.

Did you enjoy WWE Payback? Which match was your favourite?

WWE Payback 2016 Predictions

The WrestleMania show has past and now we are looking towards WWE Payback which has  an impressive match card to get everyone excited, the pay per view will take place in Rosemont, Illinois on the 1st of May 2016 at the Allstate Arena. This post is going to include my predictions for the show.

Roman Reigns (c) vs AJ Styles – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

This is a match that was added to the pay per view as AJ Styles became the number 1 contender for Roman Reigns WWE Championship by winning a fatal four way match and also defeating Sami Zayn one on one, as this match goes I think Reigns is going to win as not only are they gonna make him look strong like majority of Reigns haters say but he needs to retain for his first pay per view since winning at WrestleMania. I have a feeling that Anderson and Gallows will show up but I don’t really want that to happen, this match should just be a one on one match.

The Miz (c) vs Cesaro – WWE Intercontiental Championship

Poor Zack Ryder just gonna sidelined, would have liked to see him in this match, regardless of that i don’t really mind who wins this match. I can see it going both ways but they will probably let Miz hold on to the title as he won it on the RAW after WrestleMania, however anything can happen. They are both well established WWE Superstars and good competitors so anyway this match goes is ok as long as it is entertaining.

Charlotte(c)/w Rick Flair vs Natalya/ w Bret Hart – WWE Womens Championship

This is a rematch from WWE Roadblock, this match has been set up pretty good especially when Legends are added to the equation as Bret Hart will be in Natalya’s corner and we already know Rick Flair is in Charlotte’s corner so no surprise there. I got a question though, why isn’t Sasha Banks on the card??

Becky Lynch vs Emma

This match has been teased these past couple of weeks, both of these women are fantastic in the ring but I would prefer to give this one to Emma as she has been impressive ever since returning to the main roster.

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy vs The VaudeVillians – Number 1 contendership finals

The tournament final which is sponsored by Booty O’s (they make sure you ain’t booty) comes down to Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy who take on the VaudeVillians. My pick to win this match is Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy as their very likeable and have good matches, but this can be difficult as both teams have just recently made the move up to the main roster from NXT and their both getting the chance to see who will come out with the victory and become the number 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team championships

Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens

This match is a fight in the making pitting two friends against each other. My pick for this one is Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens has dominated ever since moving up to the main roster however I just think this is Zayn’s match to win. As both these two have huge followings with the fans it makes this match much more interesting.

Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho

This match was supposed to take place at WrestleMania but as AJ Styles debuted that had him face Jericho, the feud for this match was started off in a comedic style on “The Highlight Reel” which is hosted by Chris Jericho but was taken over by Ambrose’s new show despite the comedic nature of the start of this feud when this two square off at the pay per view you can guarantee it’s gonna be an awesome match. My pick will have to be Ambrose as he can use this as a rebound to bounce back from his loss at WrestleMania.

Barron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler

I think we all have an idea of who is going to win this match as always Dolph Ziggler is fed to newcomers, so that they can build up Barron Corbin and make him look good. I don’t have anything against Barron Corbin but i just think they should have picked someone else to challenge him other than Ziggler.

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs The Usos

This is similar to the Barron Corbin Dolph Ziggler match, Gallows and Anderson are going win this one because WWE are building up The Bullet Club so this is match is logical but despite that The Usos are gonna give it their best

Kalisto (c) vs Ryback – WWE United States Championship

A WrestleMania rematch will take place as Kalisto will take on Ryback due to the match on WWE SmackDown which saw Ryback pick up the win. I would have to say Kalisto is going to retain as many are saying Sin Cara might turn heel in order for a feud involving him and Kalisto to begin.

The New Day??

I don’t know if they’ll have a match on the card, they’re likely to be on commentary to watch the finals of the tag team championship tournament or face The League of Nations. I would really like The New Day to become the longest reigning tag team champions as they have been so impressive as champions and their transition has just been amazing.

Apollo Crews??

Where does Apollo Crews fit on the match card?? He has been wrestling The Social Outcasts so he will probably face Heath Slater but I feel he deserves something better, no offence to Heath Slater, I mean a pointless match is not going get him anywhere I think he should be in a high impact match that can make a difference to his career in WWE like maybe he should be included in a match to introduce the brand split.

WWE RAW Review 18/04/2016

This is my review of Monday Night Raw for the 18th April 2016 so lets get started…

WWE Monday Night Raw took place at the 02 Arena in London, England as they continue their European tour and the build up to WWE Payback which will take place next month at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

The show opened with the “Ambrose Asylum” hosted by Dean Ambrose with Shane McMahon as the guest. Later on, unannounced guest started showing up like Kevin Owens who commented about Shane McMahon reign saying he is getting screwed by the man in power. Sami Zayn comes out to say how he got to WWE before KO. Shane McMahon talking about a new era mentioning people like Sami Zayn

Jericho comes out to say Owens is right about Shane. Shane booked Jericho vs Ambrose for Payback as well as Owens vs Zayn then exiting the ring while Ambrose hands him his plant, Ambrose attacked Owens while Zayn and Y2J went at it and then Shane booked Ambrose to wrestle Owens and Y2J vs Zayn on the match card for the night.

I liked the segment which hyped up the show and which eventually produced some great matches.

Chris Jericho def. Sami Zayn

First match of the night that took place was Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn. This was a good back and forth match between the two with Jericho getting the win via the code breaker but not before a rake to the eye.

Mauro Ranallo is interviewing AJ Styles backstage when Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows walk up and then the three catch up, I don’t know these guys very well but I’m eager to find out. I’ve watched some of Luke Gallows matches when he was in the straight edged society with CM Punk, Joey Mercury and Serena so I would like to see how Karl Anderson fares in the WWE.

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy def. The Dudley Boyz

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy make their entrance to a loud crowd to do battle with the Dudley Boyz.  Enzo and Cass cut a promo includes them saying their “like A cups, they’re real whether you like them or not” line. This match was won by Enzo & Cass therefore advancing to the finals to face The Vaudevillains.

Cass cleans house for a while before the Dudleyz get control with a suplex neck breaker then Cass dodges an attempted attack by Bubba Ray mistakenly taken out D-Von. Cass hits a big boot and tags Enzo who finishes with the Rocket Launcher from the top rope.

I think this match was really good. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy are just an exciting team to watch, plus the promo’s that they cut are just gold.

Roman comes out to cut a promo repeating what he has said weeks before “ I’m not a good, I’m not a bad guy, I’m just THE GUY” followed by AJ styles coming out to weigh in.

Styles comes and talks about Reigns attributes saying he’s a good champion, he will need to have the match of he’s life to beat Reigns and having the match of his life is what he does.

Reigns says everyone likes AJ, he himself likes what Styles does in the ring but he doesn’t care if the fans like him, he just wants them to respect him, AJ replies by saying he wants to be liked and respected. As AJ exits the ring Anderson and Gallows come from behind and attack Reigns as AJ looks on from the ramp disappointed.

I think this segment is was alright, I think Reigns saying he just wants respect from the fans was a good part in this segment as what else is he meant to say as the fans always boo him so I applaud Reigns for that.

Reigns was seen backstage and AJ appeared backstage as well telling Reigns that he didn’t have anything to do with the attack but Reigns didn’t believe him and he said AJ should bring all of his friends to payback stating it could be one versus all but he will still come out with the victory.

Barron Corbin def. Fandango

Dolph Ziggler is on commentary to weigh in on the newcomer and Andre the Giant winner Barron Corbin who throws Fandango out of the ring and later onto Ziggler as he gets taken out, after the match Ziggler attempts an attack on Barron Corbin but is unsuccessful as Corbin hits him with a big boot then hits the End of Days on the outside.

I am looking forward to this match as it is bound to happen at WWE Payback.

Primo and Epico explore the rich history of Puerto Rico

This is a look at tag team duo known as Primo and Epico as the look to return to WWE in the coming weeks. I was not really fond on their gimmick as Los Matadores so I’m curios to see what WWE has in store for them.

Segment (which resulted in a match)

Maryse introduces the WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz, as he talks about his Hollywood credentials after which he bad mouths the royal family as they are in England however he is interrupted by Cesaro, his opponent for Payback who imitates him by using Miz’s catchphrase “when my hand goes up, your mouth goes shut” They debate about who will win the match at the pay per view, the Miz then says he’s leaving as Cesaro has a match against the Bulgarian brute Rusev but Cesaro says the match was changed to: Cesaro & The New Day vs. Miz and the League of Nation

Cesaro & The New Day def. The Miz The & League of Nations

This was an awesome match and by far one of my favourite matches as I enjoy The New Day. the match included the uppercut train courtesy of Cesaro, variety of finishers such as Big Ending by Big E, Trouble in Paradise by Kofi Kingston and finally The Neutralizer by Cesaro.

The predicament Big E was in to hit his finisher on the Miz when he was attempting a skull crushing finale was just amazing.

Mauro Ranallo interviews Charlotte and Rick Flair stating that last weeks match had a controversial ending with the footage showed then Charlotte says Mauro is worse than Dr Phil who was on RAW last week. Natalya walks in to say even though she didn’t win she made Charlotte tap but also added the fact that Shane McMahon gave her a rematch at WWE Payback and at Payback Bret Hart will be in her corner

The Usos are seen getting ready for their match against The Vaudevillains.

Natalya, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Paige def. Charlotte, Tamina, Naomi & Summer Rae

Becky Lynch made a big impact in this match until she got super kicked by Tamina Snuka but then she tagged in Natalya and she hit Summer Rae with her moves but was halted by Summer Rae at a point due to a big kick. At one point in the match a brawl erupted in the front of the ring as all the women came in and went after each other from their respective teams this resulted in the ring getting cleared with only Natalya and Charlotte as Natalya got the win with the Sharpshooter.

The Vaudevillains def. The Usos to advance to the finals of the #1 contender tournament

The Usos were hurt by the attack from Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson last week but despite that the performed well until Jey Uso launched himself onto the outside taken out Simon Gotch but The Usos momentum was halted as Aiden English took advantage of  Jey’s injured shoulder, The Vaudevillains then hit their finisher the Whirling Dervish in order for Simon Gotch to secure the win.

A video was shown promoting Apollo Crews, which was showing pictures & videos. showcasing his strength and athletic ability.

Apollo Crews def. Heath Slater

This match included Apollo Crews showcasing his talent, with the enziguri to the back of the head of Heath Slater, standing moonsault taking out Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas on the outside

This match was really exciting. I was so happy to see Apollo Crews on the main roster when he made his debut. I hope they have big things planned for him, I would like to see him in a feud with someone and for him to get given a storyline

Dean Ambrose def. Kevin Owens

This match was back and forth between both competitors striking and gaining the advantage over each other. High flying moves from both but owens didn’t fare to well on the top rope and eventually Owens got planted with Dirty deeds and Ambrose got the win.

I enjoyed this match since it was the main event and both competitors are on the rise in WWE, it was very hard fought battle and good match to watch.

Final thoughts?

Overall, I enjoyed the show and I am excited for more to come and ready for WWE Payback in 2 weeks. I liked the segment between Reigns and Styles backstage with Reigns basically saying whatever happens at Payback he will still come out with the victory. Cesaro and The New Day’s match against Miz and The league of nation had me excited at all times due to all the action happening. I am looking forward to see what happens next with Apollo Crews.

What match did you enjoy the most?  What were your thoughts on the show?

I am late on posting this review because it has been a week and an a bit since WrestleMania 32 happened but here it is my review of the show:

WrestleMania 32 took place in Dallas, TX at AT&T stadium on 3rd April 2016. I really enjoyed the show although some moments had me feeling disappointed and as this review goes on I will talk about everything that happened at the grandest stage of them all!

WrestleMania 32 Kickoff

Ryback vs Kalisto – WWE United States Championship Match
One of the WrestleMania Kickoff show showcased Ryback vs Kalisto, I felt it was a good match. Ryback being the bigger of the two started off with aggression and dominance towards Kalisto despite that later on in the match Kalisto got back into the match with his high flying moves and quickened the pace and at last hit Ryback with the Salida del Sol with the help of the turnbuckle to retain the title. I think it was good to see Kalisto win the match because at the start of the year it was already rumoured that something big was planned for him so i am glad to see he is being used well in the WWE.

New WWE Women’s Championship belt
Let me start off by saying the new WWE women’s championship looks badass, it resembles the WWE World Heavyweight Championship which suggests that WWE wants equality between the men and women division. I think this transformation is really good because it will stops fans thinking the women’s division is a joke.

10 on 10 Womens Tag team match – Team Total Divas vs Team B.A.D and Blonde
First of all, This match was good with each woman from their respective teams showcasing their talent and one upping each other. I was happy with the win but I don’t think Naomi should have been the one tapping out. Despite what was said about this match i think it was alright. I like the fact that Lana made her in ring debut but I would like to see more of her in ring action another person I was quite excited to see was Emma and can I just say she looked badass. Another topic in question is Eva Marie despite what everyone thinks about her, she was alright, I don’t just get why she always gets booed, she has spent 2 years in the WWE not once has she been cheered but in spite of all the haters I think she did well and by being on a show like this she’s going to keep improving. It had been rumoured that this is Brie’s last match so it was good to see her get the win for her team but I didn’t like fact that Naomi was the one that ended up tapping to the YES lock which is her husband Daniel Bryan’s signature move. After Team Total Divas won the match that Nikki Bella came out congratulated her sister which was nice.

The Usos vs The Dudley Boyz
I liked this match as I predicted The Usos to win so it was fun match to watch because I had feeling Usos where gonna win this one anyway, The splash through the table was good, I mean who doesn’t like seeing someone go through a table.

WrestleMania 32 Pay per view
WrestleMania 32 Kicked off with the beautiful voices of the  group Fifth Harmony, performing “America the Beautiful”. Not only did they boss their performance but they all looked beautiful while doing so, congratulations to them.

Intercontinental Championship Ladder match
The action officially started with a ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, this is the match I did not mind who won I just wanted to enjoy the action because it is a championship match which includes a ladder and 6 opponents including then champion Kevin Owens and it was chaotic with people crashing onto ladders. Highlights in the match included Sami Zayn’s dive through the ladder which was awesome and Sin Cara’s summersault to take out all competitors. The best outcome was Zack Ryder winning the IC championship and getting his WrestleMania moment, In my opinion this was the best outcome because I like to see underdogs find a way to defy the expectations of the fans and when Zack came out as the victor I was so happy also I don’t think anyone is really mad or bothered by the fact that he won which makes it even greater.

AJ Styles vs Jericho
One word to describe this match is phenomenal pun intended. I was really excited for this match as I really got into this rivalry between Styles and Jericho from the time they AJ debuted and beat Chris Jericho through when they faced The New Day for WWE Tag Team Championship to now feuding against each other, another reason I was excited to see this match is I really liked the promos that lead to this match. The one thing that surprised me is when Jericho won not because I don’t think he can win matches but I thought AJ was going to win as it was first appearance at WrestleMania but nevertheless I still liked it that Jericho won as he is a heel character so that will help build his character.

The New Day vs The League of Nations
Personally, this match was a disappointment because I wanted The New Day to get the victory even though the title was not on the line, also lets take a moment to remember and appreciate New Day’s entrance because it is was awesome but after all that they lost REALLY?? majority of tweets I saw were of people voicing their disappointment at that match

Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and Stone Cold
To see these guys come out was just straight up awesome. They were a few stunners, Mr Socko made an appearance and some super kicks by Shawn Michaels after that Shawn Michaels was twerking, Mick Foley was seen dancing and Stone Cold two stepping with Xavier woods only to feel the wrath of the stunner, overall it was a good and funny segment.

Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar
In this match I predicted Dean Ambrose to win but I was disappointed as Brock Lesnar came out with the win. I don’t think Lesnar should have won because he doesn’t need to whereas Ambrose going forward in his career he needed that victory because what happens is that he loses momentum, for Lesnar momentum has never been an issue. I know that Lesnar has his winning streak at WrestleMania but I mean come on let new talent flourish, I wonder if Lesnar has an iron clad contract that states he cannot lose at WrestleMania.

Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks vs Charlotte – WWE Womens Championship
Rapper and now WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg performed his cousin Sasha Banks theme song “Sky’s the Limit” by CFO$ as he introduced her before the match between Sasha, Becky and Charlotte for the new WWE Women’s Championship, I really wanted Sasha to get the win as she deserves it as she has worked throughout her career here in WWE putting on countless classic matches in NXT and on the main roster but that did not go as planned because Charlotte who is the daughter of Rick Flair won the match, might I add Rick Flair who prevented Sasha from stopping the figure 8 submission which was a douche moment by Rick Flair.

Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker
First off, I like the fact that Shane McMahon came out to the ring with his sons. This match is one of the matches I was really looking forward to as I wanted Shane McMahon to come away with the victory also there were big time implications surrounding this match because If Shane won he would have taken charge of Monday Night Raw but Undertaker won which I’m not upset by just disappointed because 1) I wanted Shane to take charge of Monday Night Raw and 2) Undertaker is getting old, he turned 51 like a few weeks ago which is why I felt he should have lost so he can finally retire and enjoy life after wrestling. The fact that shane jumped from the top of hell in a cell was crazy, at that moment I felt so bad for his wife and kids that were in the audience.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
This was the 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the fact that they keep doing this battle royals every year at WrestleMania in memory of Andre the Giant is amazing. This was a big match and when I say I mean BIG, NBA star Shaquille O’neal was one of the big men included in this match alongside Kane, Big Show and Mark Henry also Legends such as DDP (Diamond Dallas Page) and Tatanka made appearances. I enjoyed seeing Shaq as it renewed a rivarly between him and Big Show. In my mind Mark Henry should have won this match as it is his last WrestleMania I think but there was rumour that whoever won was getting a push and that was Baron Corbin, he is from NXT and I am glad to see that he made his debut.

The Rock & John Cena
Finally The Rock has come back to WrestleMania! So The Rock made an appearance which made everyone go crazy as usual. He came to notify the WWE Universe about the record breaking attendance but after a while The Wyatts showed up then Bray and The Rock cut some promos and then to my surprise a match was set up between The Rock and Erick Rowan and The Rock beat Rowan in 6 seconds, I would have liked to see full length match between them but i’ll take what I can get. The Wyatts attempted an attack on the Rock but John Cena made an appearance to aid Rocky. an AA (Attitude Adjustment) and Rock Bottom were hit on The Wyatts

Roman Reigns vs Triple H – WWE World Heavyweight Championship
This was the main event of WrestleMania 32 which featured Roman Reigns and Triple H, Reigns reception was from the crowd was not pleasant being booed as he made his entrance down to the ring, but the fact of the matter is it is not Reigns fault if the creative team don’t give him good storylines or book him accordingly to what fans want. Triple H’s entrance was not all that due to Stephanie’s part which I thought was awful to be honest. The match was back and forth with Triple H and Reigns, the aggressive side of both competitors were showing as this match was built up week upon week. Suddenly in the middle of the match Stephanie got speared, I was so shocked and that moment is when I surely thought Triple H will retain. I was happy that Reigns won the match.

So what did you think about WrestleMania 32?
